Abstract: From the stem bark of Samanea saman two new triterpenoid glycoside have been isolated and characterized as 3β, 22β – dihydroxyolean -12-ene-24-0-β-D-xylopyranoside 1 and 1β, 2β, 3β-trihydroxy-16β-0-acetylolean-12-ene-28-oic-0 [-β-Darabinopyranosyl (1β3)] -β-D-arabinopyranoside 2 by spectral and chemical studies.
Keywords: Samanea saman, triterpenoid, glycoside.
